About the Role

Sonora Kiddie Kollege in Sonora, California is seeking an Early Childhood Center Director to
manage approximately 50 children, ages 2 through 5 and a staff of 6.  Sonora Kiddie Kollege is
located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, two hours east of San Francisco and one hour
north of Yosemite National Park. This puts skiing, hiking, canoeing and other outdoor activities
close to the school. At the same time, San Francisco and other Bay Area attractions are only 2
hours away.
Candidates will value the spiritual emphasis that is central to Kiddie Kollege mission, have a
growth mindset, demonstrate strong organizational skills, effectively communicate with
parents, and be able to add to the existing strengths of an exceptional staff.  Applicants must be
active members of the Seventh-day Adventist church and have proof of eligibility to work in the
United States. (Hold current work visa and residency in the US if not a US citizen.) 
Applicants should have experience working as an assistant director or director in an early
childhood center and will have the following qualifications: 1) Meet the Director qualifications
(15 hours Health and Safety Training) and educational training under California Childcare
Licensing.  2) The individual must also be competent in handling and addressing typical issues
which arise in a preschool setting among staff, children, and parents and must be knowledgeable
in child development and creating a program which incorporates the various domains of
development. 3) This individual must be experienced in leading a team and supporting their
growth and development within the organization.  4) Will have taken or be able to have a current
TB Test and be immunized against Pertussis and Measles as well as the Flu.  5) Must be familiar
with standards set forth by the California Department of Social Services and Title 22 regarding
Child Care Centers and be able to meet those standards.
