Mission and Purpose

Acknowledging the important role of music in worship of our Creator, in leadership of our congregations, in ministry and outreach, and in the future to come, AYMA strives to foster exceptional music making opportunities for all Seventh-day Adventist high school students via adjudication, feedback, and the formation of ensembles comprised of committed and gifted musicians. AYMA seeks to forge closer camaraderie and collaboration of our Seventh-day Adventist educators, a tighter bond among our musical youth of viewing themselves as Seventh-day Adventist musicians and partners of this community, and to create opportunities that simultaneously encourage the growth of God-given musical talents and invigorate our music programs. In addition to this initial project, AYMA seeks opportunities to develop musical gifts, build community, and forge the next generation of Seventh-day Adventist music leadership.
