HENDERSON, Nev. — The Pacific Union Conference hosted its first Hispanic Women’s Ministries Retreat Aug. 29–31 at The Westin Lake Las Vegas under the theme “With Christ I Can.” The historic gathering brought together 836 women from across the Pacific Union for a weekend of renewal, prayer and spiritual growth.

The purpose of the retreat was to strengthen the spiritual, emotional and ministerial life of Adventist women while promoting unity, leadership and Christian service. The program featured devotionals and praise, seminars on emotional health, family life and spirituality, as well as testimonies of faith and transformation. Times of intercessory prayer and consecration invited women to surrender their burdens and renew their mission in Christ.

Guest speakers included Jacqueline Tello, the main speaker; Dr. Katia Reinert, seminar presenter; and Lupita Aragón, who led devotionals. Each delivered inspiring messages addressing the challenges and opportunities Christian women face today.

The Central California Conference (CCC) brought the largest group, with 190 women in attendance, including 44 visitors. CCC team members also served by praying with attendees throughout the weekend, offering encouragement and spiritual support.

“It has been a great blessing for me personally to be part of the organizing committee and to serve as Women’s Ministries director of our conference,” said Susy Pulido, CCC Hispanic Women’s Ministries director. “Special thanks go to Dora Torres and Deisy Ruiz for their invaluable collaboration — without a doubt, they were instrumental in making this retreat possible.”

Throughout the weekend, women said they felt the presence of the Holy Spirit as they gathered in unity. Many left renewed in faith and recommitted to the mission of sharing the gospel.
