SANGER, Calif. — The Sanger Bilingual Seventh-day Adventist Church, in partnership with Adventist Health, hosted a Free Community Health Expo on Sunday aimed at promoting wellness, prevention and holistic care among local residents.
The event provided attendees with access to basic health screenings, including glucose, hemoglobin, A1C, blood pressure, height and weight measurements, as well as general health assessments conducted by medical providers.
In addition to screenings, participants received practical lifestyle education centered on the eight laws of health, equipping community members with tools to make informed decisions about their physical well-being. Church members and local residents attended the event, creating opportunities for education, connection and support.
Beyond addressing physical health needs, the expo also opened doors for spiritual engagement, generating new Bible study interests and strengthening awareness that the church remains committed to serving the community through compassionate service and outreach.
Event organizers said the initiative demonstrates the impact possible when local congregations collaborate with healthcare institutions to meet both physical and spiritual needs. The expo served as a reminder that ministry extends beyond church walls and into everyday community life.
Leaders expressed gratitude to God and Adventist Health for their partnership and support, describing the event as an example of faith and service working together to bring hope, healing and wholeness to the community.
Organizers said the success of the health expo reflects the growing potential for churches, clinics and healthcare systems to partner in addressing community needs while building trust and strengthening relationships with residents.
