At ninety-five years old, Beulah is still faithfully laboring in ministry alongside her daughter, Lanora running “The Blessing Table.” Both active members of the Exeter Seventh-day Adventist Church, the mother-daughter duo finds rich purpose in praying with community members and handing out free literature.

“It is truly a blessing in talking, praying with people, and listening to their testimonies. We wouldn't have it no other way,” Lanora exclaimed.

Through their Blessing Table Ministry, Beulah and Lanora reach out to people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds throughout the area. They offer books on a variety of subjects including health, children’s stories, biblical study, and devotional reading. Distributing Christian literature like ‘the leaves of autumn,’ they pray that the Holy Spirit will touch every soul.

“We hope that a spark of light (JESUS) will be illuminated in the hearts and minds of those searching for answers that passes all our understanding,” said Lanora when reflecting on the purpose of their ministry, “Oh! How our loving Savior walked this earth as our example, by telling and showing us the real true character of our loving and awesome God the Father in Heaven, and by His grace we are welcomed into His kingdom.”

In addition to literature, the ministry provides prayer request cards and follow-up materials to offer ongoing encouragement. This is when they often hear other people’s stories, struggles, and things they want to bring to God. “Whenever someone stops by the Blessing Table, we offer a simple, powerful reminder: someone (Jesus) is praying for you today,” Lanora explained.

Beulah and Lanora remain dedicated to keeping their lamps burning with the oil of the Holy Spirit, eager to share the Word of God with every individual who visits them. For this mother and daughter, serving their community and investing in souls for the Kingdom is a daily joy and a lifelong blessing.
