Bakersfield, Calif. – On October 4, the Bakersfield Asian American Adventist Church celebrated a historic milestone with the official induction of its first-ever Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs. The newly formed Faithforce Adventurer Club and Faithforce Pathfinder Club were inaugurated in a special Sabbath ceremony attended by members, leaders, and guests from across the Central California Conference (CCC).
“It was a beautiful Sabbath celebration,” said Norma Villarreal, CCC Junior Youth Director. “It was a privilege to witness the beginning of these new clubs alongside CCC Adventurer Coordinator Maybelle Batulayan and Master Guide University Director Wendell Paypa.”
The ceremony marked the induction of about 20 Pathfinders and 15 Adventurers, each committing to grow in faith, leadership, and service for Jesus. During the service, participants were encouraged to “let their light shine brightly for Christ,” embodying the spirit of Matthew 5:16 and 1 Timothy 4:12—two verses that inspired the event’s message of courage, faith, and purpose.

Reflecting on the occasion, Villarreal added, “There is such joy in initiating new clubs in our conference and knowing that we are guiding these children in God’s way. Watching them grow in faith, character, and service reminds us that we are shaping young hearts for His kingdom.”
The event also highlighted the leadership of Pastor Macabeo, whose guidance and support were instrumental in organizing and launching the new ministries.
With the addition of the Faithforce clubs, Bakersfield Asian American Adventist Church joins the growing network of Adventurer and Pathfinder ministries across the Central California Conference—each dedicated to helping children and youth know Jesus personally and serve others with joy.
The conference extends heartfelt congratulations to the directors, counselors, and staff of the Faithforce clubs for their dedication and commitment to nurturing the next generation of disciples.
