CCC Installs New Sign at Conference Headquarters

FRESNO, Calif. — On Nov. 26, 2025, the Central California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists installed a new exterior sign at its headquarters, replacing the previous sign that had served the campus for nearly 30 years. Over time, the old structure had deteriorated, with rotting materials and several letters falling off, making replacement necessary to ensure a reliable and presentable appearance.

The new sign reflects the updated branding guidelines of the General Conference and follows the North American Division’s official color palette and signage standards. These updates ensure that the conference’s public presence is visually aligned with the global Seventh-day Adventist Church.


At the center of the design is the Seventh-day Adventist symbol, introduced in 1997 and now recognized worldwide. Through decades of consistent use, the symbol has become a meaningful element of the church’s visual identity. While it does not communicate theology on its own, it has become a container of meaning for members and communities who associate it with the mission and message of the church. Because of this long-established equity, the symbol’s foundational shapes remain unchanged and continue to function as a registered trademark of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Authorized use extends to church entities, institutions, divisions, unions, conferences, churches, and schools.

The Open Bible

The Bible forms the base of the logo and represents the foundation of Adventist belief. Shown fully open, it symbolizes the call to read, understand, and live out God’s Word.


The Cross

At the center of the design stands the cross, the symbol of salvation through Jesus Christ. Its placement highlights Christ’s sacrifice as the central theme of the Adventist faith.


The Flame

Three lines rise upward, encircling an implied globe. These lines represent the three angels of Revelation 14 and the worldwide mission to proclaim the everlasting gospel. Together they form a flame, symbolizing the Holy Spirit.


The Second Coming

The upward movement of the lines reflects the resurrection and ascension at Christ’s second coming—the blessed hope and ultimate focus of Adventist belief.


The Logo as a Whole

Together, the open Bible, cross, and flame reflect the core values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church: Scripture, salvation, mission, and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.



To underscore the importance of consistent branding, it is helpful to consider the global landscape. With more than 151,000 congregations worldwide, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has a larger footprint than many of the most recognizable commercial franchises. Subway has 36,592 stores, McDonald’s has 40,275, and Starbucks has 35,711. For every McDonald’s, there are roughly four Adventist churches nearby. Even when combining all three franchise totals, Adventist congregations still outnumber them. Yet despite this vast network, the Adventist Church is far less publicly recognized—highlighting why clear, unified branding plays a crucial role in communicating our identity and mission.


The installation of the new sign marks a meaningful step in presenting a cohesive and contemporary identity for the Central California Conference—one that reflects our global brand while serving the local community with clarity, dignity, and purpose.
