Pathfinders Hide God’s Word in Their Hearts at Conference-Level Bible Experience

On February 21, 2026, the San Jose Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted the Central California Conference Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE), welcoming 21 Pathfinder clubs from across the conference for a day centered on Scripture.

This year, Pathfinders studied Isaiah chapters 1–33 along with the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary. For months, these young people committed themselves to memorizing passages, studying prophetic themes, understanding context, praying together, and supporting one another. Their preparation required discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, and it showed.

Pathfinder Bible Experience is more than a Bible competition; it is a discipleship journey. Participants immerse themselves in God’s Word, hiding Scripture in their hearts and allowing it to shape their faith and daily lives. As Psalm 119:11 reminds us, “I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.” Through this process, Pathfinders grow in confidence, spiritual resilience, and a deeper relationship with Christ.

At the conclusion of the testing, five teams received first-place honors. They will advance to the Union-level Pathfinder Bible Experience on March 14 at La Sierra Academy in Riverside, California. Their advancement reflects months of dedication and spiritual discipline, but while advancement is celebrated, the greater victory is one that lasts.

The hours spent studying Isaiah are planting seeds that will remain with these young people for a lifetime. The Scripture they have memorized today will guide future decisions, strengthen faith during challenges, and anchor them as leaders in their churches and communities.

Pathfinder ministry remains one of the most impactful ministries of our church. It nurtures faith, builds character, and teaches young people not only to know Scripture, but to love it. The Central California Conference celebrates every Pathfinder, director, and coach who faithfully invests in this life-changing journey.
