Retired Oakdale Pastor Leads Seven-Week Course Focused on Overcoming Personal Struggles

Oakdale, Calif., — From February 17 to March 31, retired Pastor John Bell led a transformative seven-week class aimed at helping individuals overcome personal challenges. The program, held weekly at the local church, drew participants facing a variety of obstacles, from chronic illness to lifestyle changes.

On the opening day, Pastor Bell set the tone with a powerful message: “The principles that you will learn during these classes can be applied to anything that you are struggling with.” His words resonated deeply, not only with those seeking change for themselves, but also with church members who initially attended to support others.

Among the attendees was a member battling kidney disease who committed to giving up coffee, and another suffering from arthritis who resolved to stop eating chocolate. Both saw notable success, mirroring the achievements of three participants who successfully quit smoking.

The course concluded on a note of gratitude and faith. Many credited their progress to divine support, echoing the biblical verse that inspired the group throughout the journey: “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” — Luke 1:37.
