Clovis, Calif.— On November 9, 2025, the Central California Conference (CCC) Junior Youth Department officially launched Master Guide University Cohort 3, welcoming 22 new Master Guides in Training (MITs) from across the conference—stretching from Bakersfield to San Francisco. Each participant arrived with a shared commitment: to grow, to lead, and to serve within their local church communities.

The day began at the CCC office with check-in, registration, and a Program Orientation. This year’s cohort introduced a refreshed learning format focused on interactive, engagement-based training, inviting participants to collaborate, problem-solve, and apply leadership principles to real ministry situations.

Morning instruction featured two core sessions:

  • Leadership Development: Servant Leadership

  • Team Dynamics & Conflict Resolution

Rather than traditional lectures, MITs worked in small groups to evaluate practical ministry challenges, emphasizing communication, empathy, teamwork, and Christ-centered leadership. The atmosphere was filled with meaningful discussion as participants shared personal experiences and strengthened their understanding of what it means to lead like Jesus.

At the heart of the day’s training was the reminder that true leadership begins with service. Participants were encouraged to follow Jesus’ example of humility and compassion, recognizing that leadership is not defined by title or recognition, but by influence, faithfulness, and a willingness to serve others.

“Each Master Guide in Training represents the next wave of leadership in our church—men and women willing to grow, serve, and lead wherever God calls them.” — Norma Villarreal, Junior Youth Director, CCC

The launch concluded with a solemn Induction Ceremony, officially marking the beginning of each participant’s Master Guide journey. MITs made personal commitments to pursue spiritual growth, serve their communities, and lead with integrity and purpose. The ceremony was a moving moment filled with prayer, gratitude, and a renewed sense of calling.

Master Guide University remains a vital ministry of the Central California Conference, equipping adult leaders to support Adventurer and Pathfinder Clubs and to strengthen youth discipleship across the territory. Through intentional training, mentorship, and spiritual development, the program continues to shape leaders who model courage, compassion, and Christ-like service.

Special appreciation is extended to the instructors, mentors, and support staff whose dedication made this launch possible. Their leadership and enthusiasm continue to inspire a new generation committed to reflecting Christ in both word and action.

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” — Matthew 20:26

With strong spiritual commitment and a shared sense of mission, Cohort 3 begins its journey as a Spirit-filled group of leaders ready to serve God and others with courage, faith, and love.
