SAN JOSE, Calif. — When prayer meets technology, miracles follow. That conviction drives Lynda, leader of the Digital Evangelism Prayer Ads ministry at San Jose Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. What began as a handful of online prayer ads has blossomed into a global network, transforming lives both on-screen and within the church’s own walls.
Why Digital—and Why Now?
“A plan was created for people looking for a meaningful relationship with God,” Lynda explained, quoting Psalm 34:8: “Oh, taste and see the goodness of the Lord.” “Digital evangelism breathes new life into our mission and reminds the community that we’re never alone.” By placing targeted ads that invite viewers to request prayer, the church speaks the “digital language” of a world scrolling for hope.
Authenticity over Algorithms

In Lynda’s view, the key is relationship: “Effective digital evangelism emphasizes authenticity. Compelling stories and real-time engagement create meaningful connections that lead to lasting loyalty.” Every prayer request—whether typed from a smartphone or whispered in a hospital room—receives a prompt, compassionate response from the online-ministry team.
Stories of Answered Prayer
Since launch, requests have poured in for healing, guidance, exams, and home sales. Lynda shared just a few praise reports:
Ofelia asked prayer for a quick house sale; God closed the deal in just two weeks on a property listed since February 2025.
Anonymous thanked the team when shoulder pain eased and a gravely ill friend began eating again.
Another rejoiced that son Jason passed crucial final exams: “God hears and answers!”
Behind the scenes, the prayer team lifts names like Grace, John, Richard, and Terri’s family—interceding for hip surgery, mental-health battles, lifestyle changes, and work opportunities. “Each miracle reminds us of His boundless love and power,” Lynda said. “We are truly blessed to witness divine interventions that strengthen the faith of our church family.”
Amelia’s family: lifting both body and mind to the Great Physician for healing and peace.

Fruit That Remains
Answered prayers aren’t staying online—they’re walking through the church doors. “People who experienced God’s answers are showing up in person,” Lynda said. Roughly 15 new attendees—including first-time visitors and returning former members—now worship at San Jose Central, many drawn by the Digital Evangelism Prayer Ads.
Ripple Effects at Home
The ads have sparked lively dialogue and deeper unity inside San Jose Central. Members share the posts in their own networks, celebrate testimonies, and grapple openly with how best to present Adventist hope online. “The collaborative effort has strengthened relationships and created a more vibrant community spirit,” Lynda noted.
Lessons Learned
God Leads the Impossible. “We were apprehensive, but He keeps doing what we thought couldn’t be done.”
Mistakes Become Milestones. Technical glitches and learning curves are testimonies, not tragedies.
Prayer Is the Strategy. Every post, reply, and metric begins with intercession for the right hearts.
A Call to Other Churches
Lynda urges congregations to trust God’s guidance and “embrace the possibility” of digital ministry:
Reach beyond walls. Social platforms connect you with seekers who may never enter a sanctuary.
Pray for wisdom. Seek tools—and hearts—suited to your context.
Don’t fear failure. View challenges as opportunities to refine the witness.
“We’re in a world starving for hope,” she said. “Digital evangelism lets Christ’s love travel at the speed of a swipe.”
