FRESNO, Calif. — From church sanctuaries to care-facility dayrooms—and from live audiences to Facebook timelines—the All Nations Choir spent this spring proclaiming the resurrection message through its He Is Risen cantata tour. Led by music-evangelism coordinator Sheree Ozaeta, the ensemble wove Scripture narration and gospel anthems into a single witness aimed at what she calls “soul-winning via music.”
A Mission in Melody
“Our prayer was that someone’s soul would be won for God—starting with ours,” Sheree said, paraphrasing Romans 1:16-17. “We wanted to meet people where they were, physically and spiritually, and show that God has jewels in every church.”
Where the Music Traveled
Between March and May, the choir stopped at six venues—three Seventh-day Adventist congregations and three community sites representing Baptist, Catholic, Jewish, Presbyterian, and non-denominational settings. Stops included Summer Field of Fresno, Belmar Villa, The Wyndham, Fresno Asian Adventist Church, All Nations Adventist Church, and—concluding on May 3—Madera Adventist Church. Digital broadcasts on Facebook and YouTube pushed the reach to the East Coast and overseas—“praise God for media evangelism,” Sheree added.
A Message for Every Heart
The program unfolds in two threads. Narrators read Bible passages “in pure form,” tracing God’s love, the origin of evil, and the redemption story. Songs then respond from a born-again perspective, declaring that Jesus shatters shame, fills empty cups, and makes us whole. “We hope listeners recognize that Jesus is their hope too, no matter their state,” Sheree said.
Moments That Still Echo
Pre-tour charge: “This cantata is about soul-winning,” Sheree reminded the singers. “Let the Holy Spirit transform us first.”
Fresno Asian Adventist Church: Choir members told the congregation, “We’re not here to perform but to worship,” and a once-absent member immediately asked for Bible studies—today she attends every week.
Summer Field Memory Care: Residents mouthed the words, pretended to play along on imaginary pianos, and wiped away tears; staff filming the program wept, too.
Belmar Villa: As the last chord faded, seniors exclaimed, “The Holy Spirit is in this place!”
All Nations Adventist Church: A visitor from Southern California said the phrase “You are not here by accident” felt scripted for her; many other non-Adventist guests worshiped alongside members that Sabbath.
The Wyndham: One resident praised the pianist’s humble, supportive style, while another asked, “Where did you learn to read like that?” Multiple listeners later requested prayer and Bible studies, eager to “know the character of God more.”

Impact on the Choir
The experience reshaped the singers, too. In a group-chat prayer, member Amada Ozaeta thanked God “for breath, for voice, and for the chance to make a joyful sound” and asked that every listener “give their hearts to God.” Sheree hopes the choir will “deny self, take up the cross, and sing again whenever God calls.”
Looking Ahead
Her dream? That All Nations Choir remains both spiritually rooted and physically ready to serve: “God is the Master Choir Director, and He’s trying to save us all.”
