HANFORD, Calif. — A ten-week literature evangelism outreach across the HEAL District is leaving a lasting spiritual impact, as churches report renewed energy for mission and meaningful connections within their communities.

From Jan. 3 to March 14, the Central California Conference Literature Ministries Department partnered with SOULS West and the HEAL District churches—Hanford English, Armona and Lemoore—under the leadership of Pastor Julian Kastrati. Together, they carried out a coordinated effort to engage their cities through literature distribution, Bible work and personal outreach.

During the initiative, literature evangelists canvassed neighborhoods throughout the three communities, while local church members joined in support. More than 30,000 Unlocking Prophecy flyers were distributed in preparation for a districtwide evangelistic series. At the same time, Bible workers and students invested in the spiritual life of the churches—leading youth vespers, participating in outreach and sharing morning devotionals at Armona Union Academy.

Church members say the presence of the SOULS West team brought both encouragement and renewal. Leaders observed a growing sense of expectancy as young people led out in ministry and members became more actively involved. Bible workers Ashley and Karla also led numerous Bible studies and guided a baptismal class with several young people at the Hanford church.

The outreach fostered more than activity—it sparked a deeper sense of purpose. Members across the district received training, stepped into new roles and embraced the mission in tangible ways. Youth engagement, in particular, stood out as a highlight, with many participating in both spiritual programming and community outreach.

One story from the field captured the spirit of the effort. While canvassing, a student named Ina knocked on the door of a woman named Kim and invited her to the Unlocking Prophecy meetings. Kim shared that just days earlier, she had dreamed of a man dressed in white who told her he wanted to show her more truth. When the invitation came, she sensed it was more than coincidence. She attended nearly every meeting at the Armona church, often bringing her daughter and granddaughter, all of whom responded positively to the messages.

The outreach culminated in three Unlocking Prophecy series focused on the books of Daniel and Revelation. Meetings were held consecutively across the district, with Pastor Daniel Miranda preaching in Armona, Pastor Yoane Sanchez in Lemoore and Pastor John Miller in Hanford. The coordinated effort required significant commitment, but leaders described it as deeply rewarding.

By the close of the series, 125 individuals had registered and expressed openness to continued spiritual follow-up, with seven already making decisions for baptism.

Conference leaders expressed gratitude for the collaboration and hospitality shown throughout the district. While recognizing that the work continues, they point to the outreach as a reminder of what can happen when churches, young people and ministry leaders unite around a shared mission.

In the words of one local leader, the experience made something clear: when God’s people move forward together, He opens doors, touches hearts and leads communities toward hope.
